If such a tooth is not treated in good time, it may have to be removed in the most severe cases. In any case, tooth nerve necrosis is accompanied by pain, which is initially moderate, but may later progress to very severe. In root canal treatment, the dentist removes the infected tooth nerve from the root canal, expands the root canal manually or using a machine, disinfects it, administers an appropriate medication into the canal, and then hermetically closes the tooth.

Root canal treatment is usually performed in two phases, but in the case of severe inflammatory or cystic processes it may take several months. In the last phase, root canal treatment is completed by filling the canals and sealing them off, followed by an X-ray. Once properly treated, such a tooth can serve as an excellent prosthetic anchorage.

Since 2018, VDW Machine, Inc. instruments can be used for
endodontic treatment. For self-paying clients, this service is included in the
price; those with ZZZS insurance require a co-payment.

Root canal treatment is commonly required in the case of extensive caries processes, deep fillings, traumatic tooth injuries or for scheduled prosthetic treatment.
